Junior Hydrogeologist

They are seeking a Junior Hydrogeologist to join their Mining Hydrogeology team, contributing to impactful groundwater projects in the mining industry through site investigations, data analysis, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Travel to exciting domestic and international locations for hydrogeological field assignments Conduct site investigations, including supervising drilling, logging drill core/chips, and performing hydrogeological tests (packer testing, pumping tests, rising/falling head tests) Install monitoring wells, pumping wells, and vibrating wire piezometers, and sample wells for water quality purposes Compile, analyze, and interpret field data for conceptual hydrogeological models Support analytical and numerical seepage analyses for open pits and underground mines Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hydrogeological findings into broader engineering solutions Contribute to technical reports, proposals, and specifications that influence project decisions Skills Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline Interest in developing expertise in hydrogeology within the mining industry Comfortable with fieldwork and working autonomously in diverse environments Strong organizational skills for prioritization and record-keeping Familiarity with groundwater monitoring, data interpretation, and hydrogeological modeling tools is an asset Company Overview We are one of the world’s leading professional services firms, uniting our engineering, advisory and science-based expertise to shape communities to advance humanity.
