Junior Electrical Engineer - GTA

They are seeking talented Junior Electrical Engineers to join their team, where they will assist senior engineers, participate in engineering assignments, and perform electrical engineering design tasks. Responsibilities Assists senior engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables for the discipline in a variety of project related tasks Participate in engineering assignments under close supervision Find and apply relevant standards, regulations, codes and guidelines applicable for task, identify areas of deviation or concern Assist with report writing and client solutions Perform electrical engineering design to produce deliverables such as: single line diagrams, area classification drawings, electrical load lists, equipment datasheets, equipment specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, equipment layouts, grounding layouts, electrical studies, lighting layouts, cable tray layouts, power system studies, cable schedules, panel schedules, control schematics, electric heat trace design, wiring diagrams, 3D models, budget estimates and construction work packages Coordinate technical issues and required information with other disciplines Adhere to ethical guidelines of provincial engineering association(s) Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 1 to 3 years of experience in similar roles Exposure to or experience working with an engineering consulting firm or similar environment AutoCAD, Navisworks and Instrumentation / Control / PLC exposure Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code Familiarity with Power Study software (ETAP, SKM or similar) Problem solving and organisation skills Analytical skills and attention to detail Exposure to and/or knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Commitment and enthusiasm for continuous learning Design experience with mineral processing Background in consulting or EPCM Benefits Career advancement - Embark on a journey of continuous growth through technical training, mentorship initiatives, and networking opportunities Work Life Balance – Experience the best of both worlds with our hybrid work model, allowing you to balance office days with working from home; and progressive parental leave benefits to foster family needs and professional life Holistic approach to wellness – Take a proactive approach to your overall wellbeing.
