Patient Access Specialist-25 Hours Part Time- Call Center

- What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage large volumes of inbound and outbound calls, ensuring all pertinent medical information is communicated to the provider
- Collect and handle payments, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information is documented
- Schedule patient appointments and verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and record-keeping
- Provide empathetic and professional customer service to patients and their families
- What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Less than 3 years of experience in a medical practice, customer service, or revenue cycle department
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family members, and healthcare providers
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous medical office experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Experience in handling insurance verifications and billing processes
- Strong customer service skills in a healthcare setting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
