IT Analyst
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is the backbone of California’s health care safety net. They are seeking an IT Analyst responsible for overseeing the medical Fiscal Intermediary contractor’s claim processing operations and managing ongoing development and maintenance of the California Medicaid Management Information System (CA-MMIS) changes. Responsibilities Providing oversight of the medical FI contractor’s claim processing operations and ongoing development and maintenance of CA-MMIS changes for various areas Managing activities related to Rebate Accounting and Information System (RAIS), Drug Rebates, Physician Administered Drugs, Medical Supplies, Hospice, Federally Qualified Health Clinics, Rural Health Clinics, and Pharmacy including Formulary File Updates and Drug Utilization Reviews Skills Knowledge of large-scale database architectures, data communication protocols, and network configurations to support enterprise-level system design and integration Ability to independently analyze complex technical problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and implement effective resolutions using industry-standard methodologies Experience in leading and managing IT projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including tracking milestones, managing risks, and ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including vendors, program staff, and executive leadership Knowledge of evolving IT industry trends, standards, and technologies, and the ability to apply this knowledge to recommend scalable and portable solutions Experience in coordinating with vendors and contractors to ensure contract compliance, technical accuracy, and successful implementation of system changes Benefits Continuous and ongoing training Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program activities Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Medical, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
