Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization focused on cancer treatment and research. The Intern, Graduate Student - Temporary Part Time will support the faculty and clinical trial team in the Cord Blood Transplant Program, working in a laboratory and collaborating with the research team on various projects. Responsibilities Work in a laboratory space and interact with laboratory personnel following established lab safety protocols Collaborate with members of the research team and their work on various projects Contributes to other projects as agreed upon by both the intern and CBT research team Assist with Data entry and analysis using basic computer skills and programs such as Excel and RedCap Shadow and explore career paths of interest within the CBT Skills 18 years or older Current 1st or 2nd year MD, MD/PhD, or DO student Strong background in clinical or laboratory sciences For laboratory: Previous experience in a wet lab with basic BLS-2 skillsets with interest in stem cell research For clinical: Previous experience with statistical analysis with interest in hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplant Previous clinical experience, Redcap and statistical analysis software strongly desired Able to be onsite at the Fred Hutch South Lake Union Campus Stem cell research experience Familiarity with clinical statistical analysis Clinical oncology experience Benefits Retirement savings plan Employee assistance program Paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked) Prorated paid holidays (up to 11 days per year) Company Overview Fred Hutch is an independent, nonprofit organization that also serves as the cancer program for UW Medicine.
