Interior Designer | Residential Interior Design Candidates based in Chicago, IL • *Remote working style – ability to travel to projects when needed** This is an exciting opportunity for an Interior Designer to join a fun-loving and hard-working design team that creates spaces that make people feel welcome, where they do not want to leave. We seek for our client a passionate, self-directed, and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join their team. In this role, you will lead the design process from initial conceptual design through construction. Key Responsibilities • Managing multiple client projects at different phases, shepherding the client from design development through to completion of construction/installation • Managing ongoing project deliverables for clients and contractors • Creating design projects in AutoCAD • Finish and fixtures selections and specifications • Develop design boards and other visual communication techniques to communicate an overall design concept and finish and fixture selections • Ability to get clients to make decisions and move the project forward in a reasonable timeline • Specifying furnishings, wall coverings, floor coverings, and other decorative elements • Specifying architectural elements such as doors, windows, flooring, and millwork • Manage project budgets and timelines • Develop construction documents, elevation drawings, millwork drawings, plumbing and electrical schematics, details, schedules and specs • Project management and administration throughout construction Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in interior design preferred • 5 years of experience in the residential interior design field, including being lead on projects • Proficient with AutoCAD • Experience in residential design, renovations, and construction project management • Knowledge of finishes, fixtures, materials and specifications and ability to meet independently with clients to discuss pricing, selections, and drawings • Familiarity with residential design standards and construction processes • Ability to travel to projects, industry events, etc. when needed • Strong visual, oral, and written communication skills • Ability to work self-sufficiently and think independently Compensation and Benefits • Competitive Annual Salary + Full Benefits Package + Remote Working Style • Remote working style • Full Benefits Package – healthcare (100% covered by the employer), Life, 401K with match, Reimbursements, PTO, flexible work environment (remote working style), and more For immediate review and consideration, contact: Jordan Kravetzky - [email protected] Interior Talent, Inc Since its founding in 2003, Interior Talent has evolved into one of the leading talent recruitment and retention firms for the Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Retail, and Manufacturing industries.
