The California Franchise Tax Board is seeking an Information Security Risk Associate to assist with Information Technology projects related to system security. The role involves research, planning, and directing Information Security tasks, as well as providing security direction to customers. Responsibilities Perform as an Information Security Associate and assist the ISOU team in executing Information Technology (IT) projects in relation to system security Assist Information Technology Specialist I/II with providing customers security direction Responsible for multi-disciplinary research, planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing Information Security tasks at the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) including policy development and enforcement Skills Knowledge and Experience with Governance Risk and Compliance Solution Knowledge of performing System Security Plan assessments Knowledge of risk management strategies and programs Knowledge of enterprise wide Information Security Policies, Standards, Procedures and Guidelines Experience working in an information security domain with app security policies and standards Network, System, and/or Application experience Customer service experience Experience with facilitating meetings and communicating security-related concepts Experience with NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), SAM (State Administrative Manual), and SIMM (Statewide Information Management Manual) in regards to Cybersecurity Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplined work groups Ability to multi-task and work under pressures Analytical and problem solving abilities, privatization and time management skills Company Overview The Franchise Tax Board is responsible for administering two of California's major tax programs: personal income tax and corporation tax.
