Industrial Design Intern
Start your career at Shure’s Industrial Design team as an intern to develop product visuals and user experiences in a hybrid role. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Collaborate with designers to create and develop solutions conveying visual and tactile messages aligned with product use cases, production processes, and cost targets. • Identify social, industry, and technology trends influencing future product development. • Support designers by generating and communicating visual and physical design aspects through sketches, illustrations, renderings, and 3D prototype models. • Assist with the creation of presentations. • Perform other duties as assigned. About You The company is looking for: • Students pursuing a degree in Industrial Design preferred. • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated with a strong work ethic. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and deliver on time. • Experience with 3D modeling and visual communication tools; Rhino 3D, Keyshot, and Adobe Creative Suite are a plus. • Knowledge of design methodology. • Interest in consumer and professional audio products. • Ability to understand human factors and design trends relevant to project needs. • Good judgment within defined procedures and practices. • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. • Acute attention to detail. • Familiarity with color, material, and finish definition and implementation is a plus. • Knowledge of manufacturing materials and processes, especially plastic injection molding, metal die casting, and stamping, is a plus. • Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; Shure does not sponsor work visas for this position.
