About the Role As a Remote Healthcare Customer Support Representative, you will be the frontline ambassador for our company, engaging with members through outbound and inbound calls. Your primary objective will be to educate members on available health benefits, assist them in scheduling doctor appointments, and guide them through health needs screenings and payment processes to unlock enhanced benefits. This role requires a unique blend of empathy, communication skills, and the ability to influence positive health outcomes. Key Responsibilities Make outbound calls and receive inbound calls from members to schedule doctor appointments, assist with health needs screenings, and facilitate payments for enhanced benefits. Educate members on the utilization of emergency departments, the implications of non-emergent conditions, and the benefits of preferred providers. Identify and overcome barriers to members completing necessary health screenings, obtaining required services, or making payments. Review member profiles to identify opportunities for additional benefits and recommend appropriate services. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure department and company goals are met and exceeded. Analyze data from call reports to adjust the call approach as needed, ensuring effective member engagement. Act as a secondary resource for Member Services and Provider Services call centers, providing support when needed. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must possess: A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in healthcare, communications, or a related field is a plus. Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with members and influence their decisions. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review data and adjust strategies accordingly. Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant technologies. The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high volume of calls.
