Role Description This role involves supporting our in-house development team with ongoing projects and collaborating closely with our marketing team to build, update, and maintain our WordPress website. • Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating our WordPress website (themes, plugins, and custom functionality). • Implement front-end layouts using Bootstrap and custom CSS to ensure responsiveness across all devices. • Write and debug some front-end JavaScript and jQuery for interactive site elements. • Convert design mockups into pixel-perfect HTML/CSS implementations (both web pages and HTML emails). • Create and test HTML email templates compatible with major email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.). • Optimize websites for speed, accessibility, technical SEO, and GEO-targeted visibility. • Collaborate remotely with our team on project management tools (e.g., Asana). • Participate in regularly scheduled remote meetings (e.g. Zoom). • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines. Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in web development (freelance or professional). • Strong knowledge of WordPress, including theme customization and plugin configuration. • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and responsive design principles. • Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals (meta structure, schema, sitemaps, load speed, canonical tags, etc.). • Awareness of GEO-targeting, local SEO, or region-based content delivery strategies. • Basic knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery. • Experience coding responsive HTML emails and familiarity with email testing tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid). • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Asana) and standard development workflows. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications accurately. • Excellent communication skills and self-motivation in a remote environment. Requirements • Proficient in front-end development using Bootstrap and responsive design techniques. • Can convert design files (Canva/Figma/Adobe XD) into clean, responsive HTML email templates. • A working understanding of technical SEO best practices and GEO-targeted content or localization principles.
