Role Description The Specialty Pharmacy Program is designed to streamline patient care for a group of complex medication therapies that require very specific monitoring and follow up. The Nebraska Medicine specialty pharmacy program is a partnership with Nebraska Medicine Specialty Providers and the outpatient specialty pharmacy team. The collaborative effort is designed to eliminate barriers to specialty medication access and provide optimal pharmacy services focused on quality and safety. • Prepare, dispense, and distribute medication • Provide clinical monitoring and drug information • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations • Provide direction and assist with organization of daily activities Qualifications • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program • Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients • Demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment Requirements • Outpatient hospital pharmacy experience or retail pharmacy experience preferred • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred • Experience with hospital EMR and pharmacy applications preferred • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred Benefits • Enjoy up to $5,000/year in tuition assistance • 35% discount at Clarkson College • Career advancement opportunities with covered educational costs Apply tot his job
