Your work will directly impact how insurance carriers stay ahead of evolving state laws and regulations. You’ll be responsible for monitoring state legislative and regulatory laws, rules, regulations and other communications issued by insurance regulators that have the potential to impact insurance carriers. Responsibilities: • Analyze and distill changes to state insurance, statutes, administrative regulations, and notices for use and understanding by an audience of non-attorneys. • Review and research laws and regulations from multiple sources to assess applicability • Prepare comprehensive business requirements to be disseminated to industry end-users • Develop useable workflows (Tasks) to assist the end-user with compliance • Enter regulatory data points, documentation and analyzed and summarized data in the CODE software system • Assist in research necessary to develop and host RegEd webinars and conference presentations as assigned. • Develop content in a question/answer format to assist the end-user in determining the applicability of the regulatory or statutory change • Research customer inquiries concerning content provided by the CODE software system and provide responses • Maintain defined productivity and accuracy rates in order to meet RegEd’s high service quality standards. • Promote and maintain positive customer relations. • Participate in team discussions concerning production issues and processes where required. • Identify and submit ideas to improve service, reduce rework and eliminate redundancies. • Cross-train in other Regulatory departments to provide assistance where requested. You bring: • A strong understanding of legal or regulatory frameworks over the insurance industry with robust experience in insurance compliance or legislative analysis. • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory information. • Excellent written communication skills, especially when simplifying complex concepts for non-legal audiences. • A proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency. • Comfort working independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented culture. • Familiarity with regulatory research tools and software systems (experience with RegEd’s CODE system is a bonus). • A commitment to continuous improvement and a desire to contribute ideas that enhance processes and client outcomes. Must Have: • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in insurance and regulatory compliance, including at least 5 years focused on accident & health coverages. • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate. • Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory regimes applicable to the insurance industry. • Exceptional ability to analyze and distill complex legal and regulatory documents for a non-attorney audience. • Superior research, reading comprehension, and analytical skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proven ability to summarize complex documents accurately and concisely. • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. • Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and customer service. • Ability to learn quickly and work independently. • Commitment to maintaining high productivity and accuracy standards. Nice To Have: • Law degree. • Experience using RegEd’s CODE solution. • Familiarity with developing business requirements and compliance workflows. • Experience preparing content in Q&A format to support regulatory understanding. • Background in supporting webinars or conference presentations through legal/regulatory research. • Ability to identify process improvements and contribute to team discussions on production and efficiency. • Cross-functional experience within regulatory or compliance teams. Pay Transparency: The base compensation range for this position is $75,000-$125,000. RegEd takes a market-based approach to pay. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired close to or at the maximum of the salary range. Your actual pay at RegEd is based on your unique background, pertinent experience, work location and qualifications. Base pay also depends on the relative experience, knowledge and skills to our internal peers in the role. In addition to competitive base pay and bonus/commission program participation, RegEd’s total compensation package also includes our comprehensive benefits package in addition to vacation, sick, volunteer time off and paid parental leave.
