The California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR) is one of the nation’s largest correctional departments, dedicated to enhancing public safety. They are seeking a Hiring & Pre-Employment Analyst to streamline the hiring process through their new Human Resources Technology System, providing real-time updates and managing candidate communications. Responsibilities Implement the new automated system to streamline the hiring process Provide applicants access to real-time updates throughout the hiring process Assist candidates in setting up their accounts and tracking their application's progress Facilitate communication with applicants regarding their application status Skills Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment If you are meeting Minimum Qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification Official transcripts may be required upon appointment Candidates new to CDCR or CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by departmental annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter Applicants who completed their education outside of the US (with foreign degrees/transcripts) must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency CDCR/CCHCS utilizes E-Verify to confirm candidate's identity and employment authorization Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and analytical skills Knowledge of the State of California's civil service personnel laws, regulations, policies, practices Experience partnering with internal stakeholders and/or external stakeholders Experience working with stakeholders to resolve sensitive personnel issues Proficient in expressing ideas and information in writing and orally, clearly, accurately, and in an organized manner Ability to effectively lead under pressure, adjust to shifting priorities and meet stated deadlines Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, independence, and flexibility Ability to handle multiple tasks while being creative and remaining highly motivated Company Overview CDCR specializes in wide range of services like rehabilitation, parole supervision, and juvenile justice for enhancing public safety.
