Role Description St. Thomas University College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time online Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing to teach in the Accelerated Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, rigorous online instruction designed for accelerated graduate nursing students. • Teach graduate-level nursing courses within the Accelerated MSN program in an online learning environment. • Design, implement, and evaluate engaging, evidence-based online instructional strategies that meet the needs of accelerated learners. • Facilitate student learning through asynchronous and synchronous activities, discussion forums, and virtual office hours. • Provide academic advising, mentoring, and support to graduate nursing students throughout the program. • Participate in curriculum development, course revisions, program assessment, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. • Collaborate with faculty and administration on clinical coordination, student progression, and program outcomes. • Participate in faculty meetings, committee work, and accreditation-related activities, including CCNE documentation and reporting. • Maintain regular office hours in accordance with University policy. • Participate in simulation-based and virtual clinical learning activities as required. • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and academically rigorous online learning environment that promotes student success. • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, or professional presentations related to nursing practice or education. • Remain current with trends in nursing practice, healthcare delivery, graduate education, and online pedagogy. • Contribute to departmental, college, and university service activities and community engagement initiatives. Qualifications • Earned doctorate (PhD, DNP, or EdD) in Nursing from an accredited institution is required. • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution. Requirements • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida. • Active, unencumbered RN license in state of residence; Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) preferred. • Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level, preferably in graduate nursing education. • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant clinical nursing experience. • Demonstrated success teaching in online or hybrid learning environments. • Experience with accelerated nursing programs strongly preferred. • Experience with curriculum development, course design, and student learning assessment. • Demonstrated commitment to student advising, mentorship, and academic success. • Evidence of scholarly activity with potential for ongoing research and publication. Preferred Qualifications • Experience teaching in graduate or accelerated MSN programs. • Familiarity with online learning management systems and instructional technologies. • Knowledge of CCNE accreditation standards and participation in accreditation processes. • Experience with simulation, virtual clinical instruction, or innovative online teaching methodologies.
