About the position Aon is looking for a Health & Benefits Consultant - AVP for a hybrid role in Washington, DC. This position is ideal for intellectually curious individuals who enjoy a flexible and collaborative, team-based environment. As part of a leading global professional services firm, you will empower results for clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting health and welfare benefits strategies. The role involves acting as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, overseeing the client team, and managing project deliverables. You will collaborate with the client Account Executive to execute overall strategy and special projects, while also mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and oversee the client team and project management. • Collaborate with the client Account Executive to facilitate execution of overall strategy plus special projects. • Delegate assignments to team members and perform peer reviews of their work. • Conduct analysis, draft client presentations, and participate in client meetings. • Identify client needs for additional services. • Lead integrated efforts of internal Aon teams such as actuarial, audit, legal, and specialized broking teams. • Foster relationships with the client's vendor partners. • Mentor, coach, and guide junior staff. Requirements • Eight plus years of experience in the group health and benefits industry. • Strong working knowledge of benefits. • Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail. • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong analytical and presentation skills. • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience. • Must have appropriate insurance license/life and health.
