Guaranteed Hours Oncology Nurse Abstractor Position

Learn more about how we "cut through the noise" in clinical documentation at Job Description: The clinical abstractor at Fourier Health is a licensed healthcare provider whose aim is to help review, annotate and label medical notes for our human-in-the-loop AI summarization platform. Position Details: • Remote, 1099 contractor role • Priority contractor status with consistent access to 20-40 hours of case volume per week • Pay rate: $40/hour • Work primarily available Thursday-Monday; minimal case volume Tuesday-Wednesday • Rolling position with immediate openings What is "Priority Contractor Status"? Unlike traditional 1099 work-as-available arrangements, priority contractors receive: • Consistent access to 20-40 hours of case volume per week • Priority case assignment to maintain steady workflow • Predictable income opportunity you can count on • Flexibility in when you complete your work • Opportunity to pick up additional hours beyond your baseline when available As a clinical abstractor at Fourier, you can expect to: • Review large volumes of medical documentation, abstract key clinical data and label it appropriately based on provided clinical guidelines • Review AI-processed documentation and labeling for quality and safety • Be part of an expert healthcare and engineering team, aiming to ease the administrative burden impacting today's clinicians • Gain insight into how AI is quickly impacting the US healthcare system, and how to harness it safely and use it for good! • Receive bonus incentives for exceptional quality, case volume initiatives, and efficient turnaround A top candidate for this role is: • A licensed Registered Nurse with an unencumbered license in their state of residence • Someone who can commit to maintaining consistent availability and workflow • Able to return an assigned case within designated timeframes • Comfortable interpreting clinical notes across different specialties. Experience in Oncology required. • A quick learner who is excited about using new technology in innovative ways to improve clinical workflows • Detail-oriented, curious and proactive about solving challenges within the healthcare system • Technically savvy, quick to dive in to learning new systems and software. Able to communicate with IT teams and share feedback and ideas for improvement • Able to work independently - this position requires use of a laptop or desktop computer • Currently located and authorized to work in the United States Fourier Health is committed to providing a working environment that is free from discrimination. Requirements Need to Have: • Active, unencumbered RN license • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university • Minimum of 2 years experience working clinically as a nurse in an oncology setting or with oncology medical records. Note candidates without oncology experience will not be considered for this position. • Experience reviewing clinical documentation Nice to Have: • Experience working with a digital health start up or similar fast-paced environment • Experience working as a nurse in Fertility/REI, Pediatrics, VA records, or Primary Care a plus! • Basic understanding of AI and data processing workflows • Experience in clinical data abstraction • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCC coding • Ability to work weekend hours If your experience looks a little different from what we’ve identified above and you think you can bring value to the role, we encourage you to apply!
