Global Travel Logistics Coordinator Supporting Mission-Critical Training & Operations –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Travel Logistics Coordinator to manage travel and operational support for training and exercise programs designed to maintain top-tier mission readiness. This individual will be the go-to expert for coordinating domestic and international travel, ensuring compliance with DoD travel requirements, and supporting operational teams in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Do Travel & TDY Coordination • Prepare and manage travel authorizations and itineraries in support of ongoing training operations • Ensure compliance with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), FAR 31.205-46, and program-specific requirements • Secure lodging, transportation, and per diem for CONUS and OCONUS travel activities DTS (Defense Travel System) Management • Lead all DTS functions including authorizations, vouchers, routing, and corrections • Maintain accurate tracking of travel actions to ensure timely approvals and accountability • Support travelers by resolving errors, rejects, and documentation issues GTCC (Government Travel Charge Card) Support • Track GTCC use and delinquencies, coordinating fixes before they impact travel • Assist with activations, spending limit adjustments, and troubleshooting High-Volume Operational Logistics • Manage and track 1,000+ annual travel actions with precision and consistency • Maintain a real-time logistics tracker to ensure visibility and readiness across events • Anticipate travel surges tied to major training milestones and schedule shifts Financial & Administrative Reporting • Validate cost estimates, per diem rates, and allowable expenses • Support voucher reviews for accuracy and compliance • Provide concise monthly summaries and cost updates to leadership Cross-Team Coordination • Partner with planners, event leads, and operational managers to align logistics with mission timelines • Respond to urgent or short-notice changes with a calm, solution-focused approach • Ensure travelers are fully prepared with documentation, itineraries, and contacts What You Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred • 3–5 years of experience supporting DoD or federal travel programs • Hands-on experience with DTS, JTR policies, and GTCC procedures • Strong working knowledge of DoD lodging and TDY travel requirements • Previous support experience in training, exercise, or operations environments preferred • U.S. Citizenship required • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if needed Success Factors • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach • Ability to manage shifting priorities and surge operational periods • Analytical mindset with proactive problem-solving skills • Customer-focused, mission-driven attitude Why You’ll Love This Role • Your work directly contributes to national-level readiness and mission success • You’ll gain deep exposure to DoD logistics, compliance, and operations • You’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performance team that values expertise, innovation, and continuous improvement • Professional growth and learning are encouraged every day Job Type: Part-time Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week Application Question(s): • Do you have at least 3 years Travel & TDY oconus and conus coordination experience? • What is your hourly 1099 rate?
