Summary Onward Search is seeking a Gaming / VR Storyboard Artist for a major technology company. This remote, full-time contract role, based in Seattle, Washington, involves visualizing immersive, narrative-driven VR experiences. The artist will create engaging storyboards and animatics using Adobe After Effects, collaborating with Game Designers and Creative Leads. Key responsibilities include strong visual storytelling, quick iteration, and ideation to bring innovative VR concepts to life. The assignment is expected to last 2-3 months. Must Have • Create clear, engaging storyboards for VR experiences, focusing on strong posing, composition, and cinematic flow. • Develop animatics using Adobe After Effects to visualize timing and sequence. • Collaborate with Game Designers and Creative Leads to explore narrative and gameplay moments. • Provide quick iteration and visual ideation based on creative feedback. • Excellent drawing skills with an emphasis on gesture, posing, and visual storytelling. • Reliable, motivated self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and deliver on tasks with accountability. • Proficiency in creating animatics using After Effects. • Experience working in cross-functional creative teams. • Strong communication and organizational skills. • Portfolio required. • Must be available to work in the Pacific Time Zone. • Mid-level professional experience. This is a remote, full-time contract opportunity based in Seattle, Washington, starting by November 2025. The assignment is expected to last 2 months, with the possibility of extension to 3 months, depending on project needs. In this role, you’ll work closely with a Game Designer and VR Art Director to visualize immersive, narrative-driven experiences through expressive storyboards and animatics. You’ll help bring innovative VR concepts to life with strong visual storytelling and creative collaboration. There is no application deadline for this role.
