Game Developer / Animator Needed – Roman-Themed Video Game (Contract) Here is what we have so far: We are seeking an experienced Game Developer with a strong focus on character animation to help complete an in-progress Roman-themed video game. The core environment is already built, and we have: The main character model A large portion of character movement and actions already created Core gameplay direction established We are not starting from scratch. We are looking for someone who excels at polishing, animating, integrating, and finishing an existing game. Responsibilities Create and refine character animations (combat, movement, transitions, interactions) Integrate animations cleanly into existing gameplay systems Help finalize gameplay mechanics and flow Debug, optimize, and polish for a production-ready build Collaborate closely to bring the game to completion Requirements Strong experience in game development (Unity or Unreal — specify if needed) Solid background in character animation Ability to jump into an existing codebase and asset pipeline Experience finishing or shipping games (personal, indie, or professional) Strong communication and reliability ⚔️ Bonus (Not Required) Experience with combat systems Experience with historical or Roman-themed games Knowledge of cinematic animations or motion blending What to Include A brief introduction Your portfolio or demo reel (required) Any shipped or near-complete projects you’ve worked on Tools/engines you specialize in Project Details Contract / freelance role Paid (rate negotiable based on experience) Remote-friendly Immediate start preferred If this project interests you and you enjoy bringing games across the finish line, we’d love to hear from you.
