Freelance Pre-Sales Architect – AWS Consulting
About the Engagement We are looking for a Freelance Pre-Sales Architect (Pre-Architect) with strong AWS consulting experience to support our sales and solutioning efforts. This role is ideal for an independent cloud architect who enjoys customer-facing work, solution design, and helping close consulting engagements—without being involved in full delivery execution. You will collaborate with our sales team on a project-by-project basis to shape AWS solutions, support client discussions, and contribute to winning new business. Responsibilities Support AWS consulting pre-sales activities on a freelance basis Participate in client discovery calls to understand business and technical requirements Design high-level AWS architectures and solution approaches Create solution diagrams, proposals, and technical inputs for SOWs Provide effort estimates, scope definition, and architecture recommendations Present and explain AWS solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders Support RFPs, RFIs, and proposal responses as needed Work with delivery architects to ensure smooth handover post-sale Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of AWS cloud architecture or consulting experience Strong knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, etc.) Proven experience in pre-sales, consulting, or customer-facing technical roles Ability to translate business needs into AWS solutions Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills Comfortable working independently as a freelancer Nice to Have AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional) Experience with cloud migrations, modernization, or cloud-native design Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation) Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework and security best practices Apply tot his job
