Fractional Project Manager (Scrum Master/Product Owner)

We are seeking a Freelance Technical Project Manager to support ongoing product and delivery initiatives in a hybrid role that blends Scrum Master responsibilities with light Product Owner support. This role is execution-focused and hands-on, with a strong emphasis on delivery cadence, team coordination, and agile best practices. The ideal candidate has a technical background, is comfortable working closely with engineering teams, and can translate product roadmap objectives into clear, actionable work for delivery teams. Key Responsibilities Agile Delivery & Scrum Leadership (Primary) - Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives - Serve as a Scrum Master, ensuring agile best practices are followed and continuously improved - Identify and remove delivery blockers and dependencies - Maintain sprint health, velocity tracking, and delivery cadence Product & Backlog Support (Secondary) - Partner with product and technical stakeholders to support product roadmap execution - Help translate roadmap initiatives into epics, user stories, and tasks - Assist with backlog grooming and prioritization - Ensure requirements are clearly documented and understood by the delivery team Project & Communication Management - Manage work across tools such as Monday.com, Jira, and Slack - Provide clear status updates and delivery visibility to stakeholders - Coordinate cross-functional communication between product, engineering, and leadership - Maintain organized project documentation and workflows Required Qualifications - Must be a full time freelancer - Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, Scrum Master, or similar agile delivery role - Strong technical background with the ability to understand product roadmaps, technical tradeoffs, and engineering workflows - Hands-on experience with Monday.com, Jira, and Slack (required) - Excellent communication and organizational skills - U.S.-based with reliable availability during 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time Nice to Have - Scrum Master or Agile certification (CSM, PSM, etc.) - Experience working with product-led or SaaS teams - Experience supporting distributed or fractional teams Engagement Details - Initial commitment of 5–10 hours per week - Flexible freelance engagement with potential to expand hours based on project needs - Fully remote - Please put 'spring' as your first word in your proposal.
