FP&A Analyst
BuildOps is a leading software platform for commercial contractors, aiming to revolutionize the industry. They are seeking an FP&A Analyst to support finance operations, reporting, forecasting, and planning processes in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Support monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis, ARR tracking, KPI updates, and department-level spend reviews Assist in updating and maintaining financial models used for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis Partner with Accounting during month-end close to ensure data accuracy across revenue, expenses, and headcount Prepare recurring performance reports and dashboards for department leaders, executives, and internal stakeholders Support workforce planning by helping maintain headcount files, hiring plans, and cost modeling Help maintain Adaptive Insights (or spreadsheet-based models) by updating assumptions, data loads, mappings, and reporting templates Provide data and documentation for external audits and support Accounting with ad hoc requests Conduct ad hoc analysis for strategic requests, special projects, and process improvements across Finance Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 1–2 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis (internships acceptable) Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills—comfortable with formulas, modeling logic, and data manipulation High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to communicate clearly and ask questions when clarification is needed A proactive mindset—someone who takes ownership and wants to grow into a Senior Analyst role SaaS or startup experience is a plus, but not required Benefits Generous equity grant, become an owner in our company!
