Financial Analyst (Temporary, Part-Time)
GXM Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Financial Analyst to support accounting and financial analysis activities during a high-priority operating period. The role involves assisting with workflows, documenting policies, reporting, and implementing AI tools, while working closely with internal team members to ensure accurate reporting and timely deliverables. Responsibilities Assist in analysis of financial data and supporting documentation Support improvements to workflows related to budget tracking, expense reviews, and variance reporting Help review and integrate new workflows to prepare basic financial summaries and internal reporting in MS Excel including use of AI tools and solutions Analyze and make recommendations on improving accounts payable/accounts receivable tracking and reconciliation review Support invoice preparation, tracking, and reporting for project teams utilizing experience to make recommendations on improving workflows Analyze existing workflows and provide recommendations on improving efficiency, accuracy and productivity of those involved in the process Analyze and make recommendations on implementation of AI tools to support contracting and compliance Assist with maintaining and organizing documentation related to contract financial reporting Support and modify existing workflows related to tracking labor, costs, burn rates, and other project metrics Help ensure financial documentation is aligned with newly established internal processes and federal requirements Assist with audit preparation by organizing records Work closely with internal team members to ensure accurate reporting and timely deliverables Support project managers through modified workflows with financial tracking and reporting Provide ad hoc analysis support during peak periods Skills Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting/filtering, pivot tables preferred) High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work with sensitive data Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines Experience with AI tools and solutions related to financial activities/reporting Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a team setting U.S. citizenship required Master's degree preferred (MBA, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline) Exposure to government contracting financial environments (FAR/DFARS awareness is a plus) Familiarity with accounting or financial software systems (e.g., Deltek, QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.) Company Overview GXM builds mission-ready technology for national security teams.
