Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is focused on developing content expertise and critical business analytics within their North America Financial Planning and Analytics Team. The Financial Analyst will work collaboratively to support local colleagues and leadership, enhancing reconciliation processes and driving the adoption of digital management reporting tools. Responsibilities Partnering with Timesheet Management, Revenue Analysis, and Staffing colleagues to improve reconciliation processes through development of digital tools Partnering with Global Business Intelligence & Analytics and local office colleagues to improve and drive adoption of the latest digital management reporting tools and dashboards Developing and evolving analyses to create insights into drivers of key financial metrics as it relates to timesheet corrections and submissions Providing technical support for Timesheet Management team, aiding in more complex business questions that require strong analytical skills Assisting with additional FP&A analytics projects as needed, identifying trends in impact to financial key performance indicators Building expertise in analytical tools over time (for example - SAP4Hana, SAP Business Objects, SharePoint Workday, Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, Alteryx, Chat GPT Enterprise, etc) to assist in enhancing processes as needed and teach others on the team Developing collaborative working relationships with business partners across teams and levels Balancing the needs of multiple stakeholder groups Effectively communicating verbally and in writing Navigating ambiguity, taking initiative, and prioritizing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Applying strong analytical skills, judgement, attention to detail, and creativity to effectively solve problems Performing under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude Learning new topics and technical skills with a combination of intellectual curiosity, desire for professional growth, and receptiveness to feedback Self-teaching next gen digital tools, in order to leverage in process improvement projects as well as to train others in best practices Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or Math 1-3 years of finance-related experience Basic Proficiency in Excel (formulas, workbook structure, formatting) Strong analytical skills, judgement, attention to detail, and creativity to effectively solve problems Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to learn new topics and technical skills Self-teaching next gen digital tools More advanced Excel knowledge (VBA) Experience with SharePoint, SAP S4Hana, SAP Business Objects, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, or Tableau Prior experience in a professional services environment Benefits Zero dollar ($0) health insurance premiums for BCG employees, spouses, and children Low $10 (USD) copays for trips to the doctor, urgent care visits and prescriptions for generic drugs Dental coverage, including up to $5,000 in orthodontia benefits Vision insurance with coverage for both glasses and contact lenses annually Reimbursement for gym memberships and other fitness activities Fully vested Profit Sharing Retirement Fund contributions made annually, whether you contribute or not, plus the option for employees to make personal contributions to a 401(k) plan Paid Parental Leave and other family benefits such as elective egg freezing, surrogacy, and adoption reimbursement Generous paid time off including 12 holidays per year, an annual office closure between Christmas and New Years, and 15 vacation days per year (earned at 1.25 days per month) Paid sick time on an as needed basis Employees, spouses, and children are covered at no cost.
