Local He/She needs to go for in-person interviews And need to work onsite from Day 1 from Plano, TX Candidate should be comfortable working from his own laptop Candidate should be comfortable Configure Taciti email ID before client interview Candidate should be comfortable with multiple rounds of interview Role: Finance Consultant Commodities (Grains & Agri Trading) We are seeking a senior Finance Consultant with deep experience in the grains and agricultural commodities trading industry to support an ERP selection and requirements definition initiative. Key Responsibilities Lead finance and commodity-specific requirements definition for grain procurement, trading, inventory, and settlement processes. Advise on spot vs. futures trading, hedging strategies, and dynamic mark-to-market (MTM) valuation for open positions. Define requirements for inventory valuation, including in-transit stock, storage, quality differentials, and location-based costing. Bring strong understanding of basis (cash price vs. futures price) and its impact on pricing, margin analysis, and revenue recognition. Guide requirements for revenue recognition and P&L timing aligned with commodity contracts, delivery terms, and accounting standards. Support evaluation of ERP solutions by assessing their fit for commodity trading, risk management, and finance controls. Participate in vendor demos, scenario validations, and scoring from a finance and commodity accounting perspective. Required Experience & Skills 10+ years of finance experience in grains, agri-commodities, or commodity trading businesses (e.g., grain elevators, merchandisers, traders). Hands-on knowledge of futures, options, hedging, and MTM accounting. Strong understanding of inventory accounting in commodity environments (weighted average, moving average, quality/location adjustments). Practical experience with basis accounting, contract pricing, and settlement processes. Familiarity with ERP-enabled commodity finance processes (Microsoft dynamics, Levridge, SAP, ION, CTRM (commodity trading and risk management), or similar platforms preferred).
