Key Responsibilities Safely Load and Unload Freight: Use powered equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload freight from trucks and containers, ensuring safe and efficient handling of shipments. Organize and Prepare Freight: Organize and prepare freight for storage or shipment according to company procedures and customer orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of shipments. Verify Accuracy of Freight: Verify accuracy of freight contents, labels, and documentation to ensure precise outbound shipments and maintain customer satisfaction. Maintain Equipment and Warehouse: Replace equipment batteries or LP tanks as needed and maintain power supply for continuous operation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility and equipment, conducting regular inspections to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Identify and Report Discrepancies: Identify and report discrepancies such as damaged or missing freight promptly, ensuring that issues are addressed quickly and efficiently. Assist with Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management tasks and participate in physical counts as required, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing stock discrepancies. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Prior Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse or freight handling role is preferred, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations. Forklift Operations: Ability to operate forklifts and other powered equipment safely and efficiently, with a valid forklift operator certification.
