As a Virtual Testing & Simulation Quality Assurance Engineer on our Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) team, you will play a pivotal role in developing virtual platforms for testing and verifying solutions through simulations and emulations, ensuring high-quality product delivery and driving innovation forward. About the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Team The MSP team at blithequark is at the forefront of driving future innovation across all aspects of mechatronics and packaging. We focus on industrial hardware and control machines, including robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies, and packaging materials. Our strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, and more, enable us to deliver robust products that seamlessly integrate into the blithequark fulfillment network. As a Quality Assurance Engineer on this team, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities As a Virtual Testing & Simulation Quality Assurance Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include: Developing, implementing, and executing simulations and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) tests to virtually validate end-to-end solutions with real-life software. Ensuring that products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training & learning, deployment, process- and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integration, service, and support prior to delivery. Identifying and setting appropriate quality standards and parameters for products and communicating these to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams. Coordinating simulations and testing processes, identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommending and facilitating solutions to these issues. Connecting with internal customers, reviewing client, customer, and user feedback, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field. 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams, with expertise in modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance. Proven experience in fulfillment systems with storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, operations, and management. Project managing skills to start and finish projects successfully.
