The Opportunity This part-time tutoring position offers a dynamic, fun, and rewarding experience for those who are passionate about education and enjoy working with young adults. As a Test Prep Tutor/Teacher with Summit Education Group, you'll be responsible for providing personalized SAT/ACT instruction to students in their homes or online. You'll have the flexibility to set your schedule and caseload, allowing you to balance your work and personal life. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one test preparation instruction to students in SAT/ACT Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student Utilize a student-centered approach to instruction, prioritizing the learning needs of each student Communicate effectively with students, parents, and Summit staff to ensure seamless coordination and progress monitoring Participate in paid training and supplemental professional development to stay up-to-date on test formats, content, and pedagogy Travel to students' homes within 30 minutes, with additional compensation for longer distances Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution A student-centered disposition and a passion for education Responsible and responsive work ethic, with flexibility to accommodate student schedule changes Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued: Teaching or tutoring experience, particularly in test preparation Experience working with students with Learning Differences Strong knowledge of SAT/ACT test formats and content What We Offer At Summit Education Group, we provide our Test Prep Tutors/Teachers with: Competitive hourly rates: $65/hr for in-person tutoring and $45/hr for online tutoring Frequent hourly bonus opportunities Annual reviews with raise opportunities Comprehensive paid SAT/ACT training for new tutors Self-determined schedule and caseload Referral and employee discount program Career Growth and Development As a Test Prep Tutor/Teacher with Summit Education Group, you'll have opportunities for career growth and professional development.
