Key Responsibilities As an External Support Engineer at blithequark, your primary focus will be on providing technical support to our external content creation teams, helping them to effectively utilize our tools and resolve any issues that may arise. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing technical support to content teams in regards to the use of content tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime Creating reference materials and delivering training to external teams to get them up to speed with our toolset, promoting efficiency and productivity Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows, quickly resolving issues for users and escalating complex problems to the tools development team as needed Collaborating with the production team to track issues in JIRA, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date on the status of ongoing issues Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, driving continuous improvement and innovation within our organization Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, contributing to the ongoing evolution of our technology stack Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, upholding the highest standards of excellence and integrity Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, including: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in software development and technical support Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, dynamic environments Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong understanding of the technical requirements and challenges associated with content creation Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with the ability to effectively utilize these tools to manage and resolve issues iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a strong understanding of the technical requirements and challenges associated with mobile app development 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a proven track record of writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates who possess: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders A positive attitude and the ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and growth Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines Ability to read and understand C# code, with a strong foundation in software development and programming principles Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, including: Strong technical skills, with a deep understanding of software development, tools engineering, and technical support Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly resolve complex technical issues and identify opportunities for improvement Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and excellence in all aspects of your work Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for career advancement, professional development, and continuous learning.
