Key Responsibilities The External Support Engineer will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to external content teams, ensuring they can effectively utilize the tools provided by the internal development team. The key responsibilities of this role include: Providing technical support to content and external teams regarding the use of content tools, addressing queries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Creating comprehensive reference materials and delivering training sessions to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, enhancing their productivity and efficiency. Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve problems for users, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Escalating more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team and collaborating with production to track these issues in JIRA, ensuring transparent communication and prompt resolution. Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, driving cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing. Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working towards common goals. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following essential qualifications: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in technical principles and practices. Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a proven track record of providing exceptional technical support and ensuring seamless tool functionality. Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong understanding of content creation workflows and toolsets. Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with the ability to effectively track and manage issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in mobile development. At least 5 years of experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong portfolio of projects and achievements. Preferred qualifications include: Ability to read and understand C# code, with a strong foundation in programming principles and practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with external partners and stakeholders. A positive attitude and the ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
