Job Overview The Technical Product Engineer will be responsible for developing a deep technical understanding of our products and services, prioritizing features based on business value, and creating detailed customer stories that are ready for development. This role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in agile ceremonies, and establishing and maintaining effective relationships with business and IT stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes, systems, and desired outcomes to meet the objectives of assigned products Collaborate with Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts, and other stakeholders to prioritize feature development based on business value Develop and refine customer stories, user journeys, and acceptance criteria to ensure that business requirements are met Communicate business requirements through various artifacts, such as user stories, features, scenarios, acceptance models, process flows, wireframe diagrams, and mockups Work closely with agile teams to ensure that business requirements are incorporated into the development process Lead work sessions, report on new features, requirements, and processes, and ensure that issues are resolved before promoting to production environments Balance multiple initiatives and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Use data and analysis to inform decision-making and drive process improvements Develop business logic and key metrics for integration into decision-support models and tools Identify and articulate problem statements, including problem descriptions and improvement opportunities Drill down to understand root causes and develop recommendations with supporting data Collaborate with project planning and effort estimation to ensure that business requirements are incorporated into project scope Support the identification of risks and mitigation approaches Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Product Engineer, Product Owner, or similar role Knowledge of agile methodologies and principles, with the ability to apply them in software development and delivery Understanding of product features and the ability to design, build, and develop new products, technologies, or services from feasibility to production Knowledge of tools, techniques, and methods of requirement analysis, with the ability to elicit, analyze, and document business functionality and non-functionality requirements Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills Strong training and organizational skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment Consistently prioritizes the safety and security of self, others, and personal data Embraces diversity, thinking, and styles Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will give you an edge in this role: Strong understanding of integrated/SDLC development methodologies DevOps experience, including the use of enterprise agile planning solutions like Agility.Al or similar Prior experience as a Technical Product Engineer, including ownership for its development and implementation Ability to adapt and make decisions in response to changing business objectives Airline industry experience, as well as business process re-engineering or extensive experience working with agile teams, is desirable Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
