About the Job We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Editor to join our team at blithequark. As a Technical Editor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our content, working closely with our team of editors and content creators to develop and implement style guides, workflows, and best practices. You will be responsible for reviewing and editing content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy, as well as providing feedback and guidance to content creators. Key Responsibilities Support content creators by providing insights into appropriate formatting, relevant grouping, and best use of language. Advocate for clients by ensuring accurate, consistent, and robust content that addresses client needs. Improve and refresh designs and style guides for agile workflows and help define and execute optimal article workflows for given projects. Manage content cycles for high-demand initiatives across teams and organizations. Collaborate with editors from different teams to change accepted methods and stay up-to-date with best practices. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of experience with technical editing, technical writing, or content management. Experience creating or editing technical documentation for an engineering team. Experience with Markdown. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing content projects, work prioritization, and partner expectations. Experience influencing others and planning work so that activities are efficient and address client needs. Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style and standards in language usage. Ability to collaborate with partners across different teams and organizations. Ability to manage individual priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
