About the Role The Student Success Coach plays a vital role in assisting students throughout their education program with arenaflex. As a coach, you will be responsible for speaking with students over the phone, responding to inquiries, and providing proactive support to ensure a quality learning experience. Working from the comfort of your own home office, you will have an assigned schedule during our hours of operation, which define a 40-hour work week. We are open Monday-Thursday 8am to 7pm CDT, and Friday & Saturday 8am to 5pm CDT, and we hire talented individuals from all time zones who have availability during our hours of operation to support our students. Key Responsibilities Support enrollment, student development, and retention services while ensuring a quality learning experience for each student. Manage a group of assigned students and coach each through their degree program, providing proactive and timely outreach to foster academic success. Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop essential skills and knowledge for academic excellence. Provide a trusted environment where students can share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests, and offer guidance and support to help them overcome challenges. Offer and teach students how to utilize resources to maximize their success, and become a certified resume reviewer to provide resume and career development support. Act as a liaison for students, enabling them to connect with various departments and access the support they need to thrive. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). At least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, as well as the ability to learn technical skills quickly. Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner and strong customer support focus. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment. Familiarity with academic support software and technology. Certification as a resume writer or career coach. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying learning needs.
