About the Student Success Coach Role In this dynamic role, you will serve as a mentor and coach to students, empowering them to strive for academic excellence, overcome challenges, and develop the skills necessary to become lifelong learners. You will work closely with each student throughout their learning experience, providing timely support, motivation, and encouragement to help them achieve their educational goals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting students throughout their education program, responding to inquiries, and providing proactive and timely outreach to ensure a quality learning experience. Key Responsibilities Support enrollment, student development, and retention services while ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students. Manage a group of assigned students, coaching each through their degree program and providing daily and weekly outreach to encourage and support their academic success. Create a trusted environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests, and provide guidance and support to help them overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Offer and teach students how to utilize available resources to maximize their success, including resume and career development support as a certified resume reviewer. Serve as a liaison for students, connecting them with various departments and ensuring they receive the support and services they need to succeed. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, as well as at least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. You should also have a strong knowledge of academic policies and procedures, excellent communication and listening skills, and the ability to learn technical skills quickly. A pleasant phone manner and strong customer support focus are also essential, as you will be working closely with students and responding to their inquiries via phone and other communication channels. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage your time effectively. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in software applications and systems used in academic and customer service settings. Certification as a resume reviewer or career coach, or willingness to obtain certification through our paid certification program. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of academic preparation.
