Job Summary As a Strategy & Analytics Consultant at Southwest Airlines, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement by analyzing complex data sets, developing strategic insights, and presenting findings to senior leadership. This hybrid role, based out of our Corporate Campus, offers the flexibility of remote work and the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business success. Key Responsibilities Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and develop strategic recommendations to drive business growth. Leverage technical skills, including SQL, Alteryx, Python, R, Tableau, and Big Data Concepts, to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights. Transform raw data into easily understood, presentable, and actionable findings, and develop models and strategies to support business decision-making. Facilitate technical guidance and support to teams across the organization, and provide critical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive business outcomes. Utilize data management best practices, including privacy standards, to ensure the integrity and security of sensitive data. Develop and deliver presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders, and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A High School Diploma or GED, with advanced-level experience in a related field, such as Network Planning or Airline Operations. Strong technical skills, including SQL (Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL), Alteryx, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint). Proven experience in data collection, analysis, and presentation, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy: Experience with data manipulation software, such as Alteryx, and data visualization tools, such as Tableau. Knowledge of airline operations, network planning, and revenue management. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need: A strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately analyze complex data sets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
