About the Role: Speech Language Pathologist-PD We're seeking an experienced and skilled Speech Language Pathologist with a specialization in Pediatric Development (PD) to join our team on a part-time per diem basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist-PD, you'll play a vital role in evaluating and treating students with speech and language disorders, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language needs, developing effective intervention plans to meet their educational goals. Implement and modify treatment plans as needed, ensuring they align with regulatory guidelines and department standards. Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation, records, and reports, adhering to educational and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with students' child study teams, teachers, families, paraprofessionals, district and non-district therapists, CST staff, contract coordinators, supervisors, and offsite directors to ensure seamless care coordination. Participate in required meetings, including school team meetings, student IEP meetings, CST meetings, and other necessary gatherings, demonstrating flexibility in your schedule to accommodate these commitments. Meet IEP mandates and ensure that all services are educationally based and delivered in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Essential Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field, with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology. Current licensure in the State of New Jersey or Speech Language Specialist Certification, or completion of a Department of Education-approved retraining program certification. CPR certification and school certification by the NJ Department of Education. Valid driver's license (may be required). Educationally based pediatric experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and department standards for speech language pathology services. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Skills and Competencies: Strong evaluation and intervention skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
