Key Responsibilities As a Special Education Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, your key responsibilities will include: Following and teaching lesson plans provided by the regular teacher Instructing based on subject and grade-specific curriculum Monitoring and assessing student achievements and outcomes Exercising classroom and behavior management skills Sharing your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education students Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s) Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired) Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor Complete a Background Check for Scoot Education (you'll be reimbursed for the cost on your first paycheck!)
