We're seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our dynamic team and help us shape the future of cloud security. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating scalable and secure solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. About the Role As a Software Development Engineer on our AWS Secrets Management team, you'll be part of a cross-functional team that's passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your primary focus will be on building a scalable global security service that's central to most AWS services. You'll work closely with our customers to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and operate scalable and secure solutions for our customers, focusing on secrets management and cloud security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement secure solutions that meet customer needs. Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and operations. Communicate with influential customers to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance. Work closely with our teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet those needs. Essential Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience in languages such as Java, Python, or C++. 2+ years of non-internship experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security. Experience with software programming languages and development frameworks. Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, and security protocols. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a unique blend of technical and soft skills. Some of the key skills and competencies we're looking for include: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS. Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Compensation and Benefits We're a competitive company that offers a comprehensive compensation package to our employees. The base pay for this role ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
