About the Role We're seeking an experienced Social Media Strategist to support our Disney and Disney+ social media presence across various platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. As a Social Media Strategist, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing social engagement strategies, creating compelling content, and driving community engagement for our @Disney and @DisneyPlus platforms. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement day-to-day social content programming across all platforms, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with our brand voice and tone. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including social and digital campaign teams, international social and title campaign teams, to amplify and support key priorities and campaigns. Work closely with external agencies to ideate, plan, and develop content that meets our brand standards and resonates with our audience. Propose copy and creative concepts that align with our brand voice and tone, and drive engagement across our social media platforms. Use data to inform programming and social content development strategies, ensuring that our content is optimized for maximum impact. Route assets to necessary stakeholders for internal approvals, ensuring that content meets business standards and is compliant with company policies. Attend brainstorms and meetings to stay informed about future projects and initiatives, and provide input on social media strategies and opportunities. Deliver final approved assets and copy to relevant partners, ensuring that publishing timing and tagging are aligned with wider marketing plans and reporting needs. Provide occasional support to the paid social team, and assist with live content coverage and execution for talent press junkets, content shoots, and marketing events as needed. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A minimum of 2-3 years of social media or community management experience within consumer-facing media or global brands. Excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate traditional marketing content into engaging and brand-relevant conversations. A passion for storytelling and listening to what the community has to say. A basic understanding of digital analytics and performance tracking. Superior knowledge of social platforms and their native products. The ability to be nimble and adapt quickly to new technologies and processes. Polished presentation and communication skills. A proactive and collaborative approach, with a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality. Strong attention to detail and ability to use sound judgment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and Box. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience with CRM tools, such as AirTable, Smartsheets, and/or Zendesk. Experience with Sprinklr, Creator Studio, Keynote, and Google Slides. A background in brand entertainment marketing and/or streaming services. Previous experience working with large, matrixed organizations.
