**Experienced Senior Estimator – Capital Budgets and Project Management for Disney Glendale**

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company by providing expert estimates and project management services for our capital budgets. **About the Role** As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating all quantities of complex, highly integrated tasks such as resorts, theme park attractions, cruise ships, and other expansions of the Disney experience. These challenge estimates will encompass site work, centers, display factors, rides, indoor and outdoor structures, staffing, escalation, contingency, and more. You will work independently to produce conceptual estimates of initiatives with incomplete or ambiguous records with minimum supervision. **Key Responsibilities** * Estimate all quantities of complex, highly integrated tasks such as resorts, theme park attractions, cruise ships, and other expansions of the Disney experience * Independently produce conceptual estimates of initiatives with incomplete or ambiguous records with minimum supervision * Lead the estimating, negotiating, and settling of contractual trade orders throughout the project * Evaluate and estimate through specs and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, and more to determine the scope of labor and required estimate contents * Collaborate with owner, A/E, and contractors to provide estimating, value engineering, analysis, and scenario planning * Provide fee guidance/fee engineering/options to design groups and task groups * Check estimates for reasonableness based on comparable/equal historical experience * Offer fee management throughout the entire lifecycle of a project, continually quantifying risks, growing mitigation plans, and forecasting the entire project envisioned final value (EFC) with the project team and divisions; opinions with challenge divisions and senior management to reconcile * Successfully adapt complex financial and estimating information to audiences of varying levels * Work with group leadership to expand project strategies, risk mitigations, and recovery/acceleration plans * Perform comprehensive risk assessments on projects and issues and recommend movement plans to optimize success * Serve as a mentor to less experienced estimating personnel * Act as a subject matter expert (SME) relative to production, estimating, price control, and risk analysis **Primary Qualifications** * Minimum 4 years estimating and/or cost management experience with a desire towards working with projects of high complexity and growing expert duty * Ability to resolve conflicts efficiently * Proven decision-making and negotiation skills * Confident presenter who can adapt to their target market and speak effectively, both in writing and verbally **Preferred Qualifications** * Understanding specific to the hospitality or themed entertainment industry **Required Education** * Four-year degree in Production Control, Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience **What We Offer** * Competitive salary: $31-$40/hour * Full-time employment * Remote work opportunities * Opportunities for career growth and professional development * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Comprehensive benefits package **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and experienced professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
