Job Overview This senior engineer position is a key member of the Engineering Group within the Integrated Operations Division at arenaflex. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support for the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. You will also be involved in establishing and maintaining aircraft and component standards within areas of responsibility. Key Responsibilities As a senior engineer at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include: Conducting training for technicians in areas of expertise Serving as a mentor to other engineers Leading teams and coordinating project management or issue resolution Collaborating with manufacturers and regulatory authorities, as required, to ensure that engineering practices are properly validated in accordance with relevant regulations and company manuals Developing customized procedures and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals Staying informed about daily airline operations, including areas of responsibility, and reviewing daily needs in accordance with aircraft/departmental objectives and management directives Analyzing aircraft/component issues that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, significant expenditures in labor or materials, or disruptions to maintenance activities, and determining appropriate corrective actions Providing engineering support as needed to resolve discrepant situations affecting aircraft or components and restore operational status Responding to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support operations or resolve issues Developing action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursuing detailed implementations as per estimated needs Coordinating with other airline departments, as necessary, to facilitate effective and efficient implementation of engineering practices Preparing Engineering documents to implement technical practices by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives Maintaining knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensuring that all Engineering activities maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements Utilizing available resources to build levels of technical expertise and practical experience consistently, as well as improving communication skills, time management, and other personal attributes relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties Effectively engaging with frontline colleagues and management alike Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or a related Engineering license At least 1 year of engineering experience in a related field, or 2 years of experience without a degree An A&P license Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. The ability to analyze technical data and make data-driven decisions Demonstrated ability, capacity, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities The ability to prepare and deliver presentations that promote acceptance of solutions The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the aviation industry Advanced degrees or certifications in Engineering or a related field Experience with project management and team leadership Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Engineering Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong leadership and project management skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with the opportunities and resources they need to succeed and grow in their careers.
