Job Overview The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with various business groups and cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business and data science needs. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have experience in data engineering, data architecture, and data science, with a strong foundation in programming languages such as Python. Key Responsibilities Design and develop large-scale data architectures and pipelines to organize, collect, and normalize data, producing insights and addressing reporting needs. Develop ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and create tools for real-time and offline analytical processing. Collaborate with the data science team to integrate data and incorporate algorithms and models into digital processes. Work with data in Cloud, Hadoop, and experience designing and optimizing queries to build data pipelines. Utilize strong programming skills in Python or other major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. Develop data warehouses and data models to support Data Science and other internal clients, integrating data from various sources and ensuring adherence to data quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current data technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions. Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to determine the optimal solution given the requirements directed by the model/use case. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering. 5+ years of relevant work experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on data architecture and pipeline development. 5+ years of experience with SQL and Python programming languages. Experience with Cloud-based platforms (GCP preferred, AWS, or Azure). Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark. Experience with Reporting (Tableau).
