Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the vision of our Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Security services. As a key member of our Data Governance team, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing cutting-edge solutions that enable us to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will work closely with business stakeholders, software development engineers, and data scientist partners to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth and improvement. Key Responsibilities Design, model, and implement large-scale data warehousing and ETL pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics use cases Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute data-driven solutions that meet business requirements and drive customer satisfaction Work with complex data environments to develop and implement data architectures that support multiple analysis use cases, including business reporting, production data pipelines, machine learning, optimization models, statistical models, and simulations Coach and mentor colleagues on best practices and standards for data engineering and data governance Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and make recommendations for adoption and implementation Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines Experience with SQL and data querying languages Experience with at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS Experience coaching colleagues on best practices and standards for data engineering and data governance Preferred Qualifications Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR Experience working with large data warehouses and data lakes Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure Experience with data security and governance frameworks and standards Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, including: Strong technical skills in data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline development Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data environments and develop creative solutions Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks and standards Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
