Job Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Counsel to provide legal advice and guidance to our digital products and data analytics teams. As a Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for navigating complex legal issues, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice and guidance to our digital products and data analytics teams on a wide range of issues, including technology transactions, product development, marketing, security, and data protection. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws. Structure and negotiate complex business agreements, including master service agreements, vendor agreements, data licensing agreements, and supply agreements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, product, marketing, and technology teams, to develop and implement digital products and services. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to provide informed legal advice and guidance. Develop and maintain relationships with external counsel, vendors, and partners to support our business objectives. Essential Qualifications Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and at least 5 years of post-bar lawyer experience in a combination of law firm and corporate settings. Required licensure to provide legal counsel in at least one state. Required Illinois bar registration or active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing, organizing, and meeting deadlines. At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace. At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, or cross-functional team leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where prioritization and independence are essential for success. Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
