As a key member of our Compliance and Regulatory Affairs department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and cooperating government organizations' regulations, as well as international trade laws and regulations. You will work closely with our import teams to ensure that all imports are compliant with relevant regulations and that our company's interests are protected. **Key Responsibilities** As a Senior Compliance Analyst – Direct Imports, you will be responsible for: * Ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and cooperating government organizations' regulations, including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) * Identifying and resolving compliance issues related to imports, including classification, valuation, and documentation * Developing and implementing compliance programs and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements * Collaborating with import teams to ensure that all imports are compliant with relevant regulations * Providing guidance and support to import teams on compliance matters * Analyzing and interpreting regulatory changes and updates to ensure that our company's compliance programs are up-to-date * Developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies and industry associations to stay informed about regulatory developments * Providing training and support to employees on compliance matters * Conducting audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements * Identifying and mitigating compliance risks **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * 3+ years of experience in a compliance or regulatory affairs role, preferably in the import/export industry * Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and cooperating government organizations' regulations, including the HTS and NAFTA * Experience with import classification, valuation, and documentation * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines * Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as international trade, business, or law **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word * Experience with import management software and systems * Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, including the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) * Experience with compliance auditing and risk management * Certification in a related field, such as Certified Import Specialist (CIS) or Certified Customs Broker (CCB) **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and cooperating government organizations' regulations * Experience with import classification, valuation, and documentation * Strong mathematical skills and ability to analyze data **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Senior Compliance Analyst – Direct Imports at arenaflex, you will have opportunities to: * Develop your skills and knowledge in compliance and regulatory affairs * Work with a diverse team of professionals from various backgrounds and industries * Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge * Take on new challenges and responsibilities as you grow in your career * Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive business growth and success **Work Environment and Company Culture** arenaflex is committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive, diverse, and supportive of our employees' growth and development.
