Job Overview As a Security Analyst, Data Protection at blithequark, you will collaborate with multiple teams to provide guidance on processes to identify and protect sensitive information. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a growing Information Security program and assist with implementing best practices. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and managing data loss prevention (DLP) tools, investigating new solutions, and ensuring that existing business processes meet information security best practices. Key Responsibilities: Administer information security tools including patching, upgrading, troubleshooting, testing, and report generation. Review data loss prevention alerts within target timeframes. Maintain information protection software upgrade schedules to test and upgrade our technical solutions continuously. Resolve data loss alerts by implementing remediation procedures and protective controls. Test and tune data identification solutions to reduce false positives. Follow change management procedures to minimize the risk of adverse impact. Create guides to investigate, test, and implement new features within our toolsets. Develop new strategies using regex, AI, fingerprinting, and dictionaries to monitor unique data types. Collaborate with different areas of the business to document realized business processes handling sensitive information and provide best practice recommendations. Ensure existing business processes meet information security best practices, validate processes, and propose security enhancements. Implement proposed enhancements to the organization. Work with the business to conduct discovery scans to identify sensitive data, review results with data owners, and provide guidance on how to securely store that information. Review existing network architecture, design, and policies and assess overall deployment against best practices. Assess and assemble new information protection solutions in alignment with cloud requirements, operationalize these solutions to deliver value to the business. Implement protective controls in the cloud to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Effectively communicate information security concepts to non-technical business leaders. Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in a related field. At least 2 years of experience working with DLP technologies, including an understanding of how data in motion, data at rest, and data in use is monitored. Solid technical knowledge of secure models, system architectures, policies, etc. Experience with designing and automating information security procedures for cloud environments, including AWS. Familiarity with securing structured and unstructured data. Experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions. Experience managing Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions. Experience with deploying and managing data governance solutions. Experience with managing devices using policies in Microsoft Intune. Understanding of regulatory frameworks like PCI and GDPR. An innovative and adaptable work ethic, with a strong client-oriented mentality. A consistent focus on safety and security of self, others, and personal information. An ability to embrace diverse individuals, thinking, and styles. Preferred Qualifications: To stand out as a candidate, you should have: Professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or SANS GIAC. Cloud certifications like AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect. A degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
