Job Highlights and Responsibilities As an Analyst/Senior Analyst in Revenue Management Strategy and Analysis, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of projects that impact Revenue Management and other commercial organizations. Your primary focus will be on project-based assignments that require a mix of strong analytical skills, problem-solving aptitude, and the ability to clearly present complex information. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Utilizing advanced data analytics to identify new revenue opportunities and drive business growth Learning and applying Revenue Management concepts to provide analytical support to business problems in a fast-paced environment Championing the application of advanced analytical models to complex Revenue Management problems, relying on empirical models and knowledge Translating complex models into business-friendly terms to gain buy-in from leaders and stakeholders Training and developing junior team members in areas such as SQL, Data Visualization, and other advanced analytical concepts Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training At least 2 years of work experience in a data analysis role, with a strong background in drawing insights from complex data sources and explaining those insights in business-friendly terms Knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with software programs used in conducting quantitative analysis (SAS, R, Tableau, PowerPivot, etc.) Ability to develop and adhere to timelines, manage projects with minimal supervision, and work well in a team environment Ability to take action through intelligent risk-taking, innovation, and entrepreneurship Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: A Master's degree with significant coursework or experience in a quantitative discipline (economics, mathematics, engineering, finance, etc.) SQL query writing ability and experience with data visualization tools Experience working in the aviation or travel industry, with a strong understanding of Revenue Management principles and practices Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Airlines, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills.
