Job Summary We are looking for a service-minded full-time Residential Lead Installation Tech to provide leadership for our installation crew and help our clients by removing old HVAC equipment and ductwork, replacing it with new equipment, and testing completed installs for proper setup at their homes in and around Franklin, IN. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset, including at least 3 years of residential on-call experience, physical ability to lift 60-80 pounds, and the ability to work in crawl spaces and attics. Key Responsibilities Remove old HVAC equipment and ductwork from clients' homes Replace old equipment with new HVAC equipment and ductwork Test completed installs for proper setup and ensure customer satisfaction Provide leadership for the installation crew and mentor other installers Work collaboratively with the team to achieve company goals and objectives Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: At least 3 years of residential on-call experience in the HVAC industry Physical ability to lift 60-80 pounds and work in crawl spaces and attics Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or college degree preferred Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Certifications in HVAC installation and repair Experience with plumbing and electrical systems Knowledge of local building codes and regulations Experience with customer relationship management software Skill and Competency Requirements To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Technical skills: proficiency in HVAC installation and repair, plumbing, and electrical systems Leadership skills: ability to lead and motivate a team, provide guidance and support, and make informed decisions Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and management Problem-solving skills: ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement effective repairs Time management skills: ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
