About the Role: Software Developer for Semiconductor Manufacturing We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our team in maintaining and expanding our flagship Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) product, targeted at the semiconductor manufacturing industry. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for learning our software, understanding customer needs, and translating requirements into features that extend and enhance existing functionality. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and expansion of our mature, yet ever-growing FDC product, with a focus on creating new features and improving existing ones Learning our software to understand how our customers use it and identifying areas for improvement Translating customer requirements into features that extend and enhance existing functionality Implementing features using C++ and collaborating with the development team to ensure seamless integration Finding and fixing bugs to ensure the highest quality of our software products Working independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintaining a professional demeanor, and collaborating with the team as needed Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field 3+ years of experience working in the semiconductor manufacturing industry on data acquisition and analysis projects 3+ years of experience in writing engineering code, with a strong focus on C++ programming Demonstrated ability and passion for programming, with a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design Experience with multi-threaded applications using the ownership model Experience with MFCs (or willingness to learn) Experience with databases and data analysis Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field 5+ years of experience working in the semiconductor manufacturing industry on data acquisition and analysis projects 5+ years of experience in writing engineering code, with a strong focus on C++ programming Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems Experience with cloud-based technologies and DevOps practices Skills and Competencies: Strong programming skills in C++, with a focus on Object-Oriented Design Experience with multi-threaded applications and the ownership model Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintaining a professional demeanor Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At INFICON, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
