As a remote customer service representative, you'll be part of a high-volume call center that operates 24/7, providing support to our members across the country. **Key Responsibilities** As a Remote Medical Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include: * Answering incoming calls professionally, accurately, timely, and courteously * Determining the nature of calls and logging information in the Communication Log * Accessing member information using proprietary systems to assist callers * Forwarding inquiries requiring further research to the appropriate department * Transferring calls to specialized queues for complex issues (e.g., claims, authorizations) * Utilizing available resources to provide timely responses * Managing time effectively to ensure calls are answered promptly, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner * Meeting or exceeding minimum key job accountabilities for the Customer Service Representative role * Documenting all calls appropriately * Attending weekly staff meetings to discuss issues and promote teamwork * Responding to requests from internal and external customers as needed **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * A high school diploma or equivalent * A minimum of one year of customer service experience; inbound call center experience preferred * Basic computer skills * Strong verbal communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, we prefer candidates with: * Experience in the healthcare industry * A background in medical terminology or a related field * Proficiency in multiple software systems and applications **Skills and Competencies** To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Strong time management and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications * Strong attention to detail and accuracy **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Workwarp, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
